Nagato Yumoto Onsen is located in Nagato, a city in the northwest of Yamaguchi Prefecture in western Japan
(along the western coast of the main island of Honshu).
With the Otozure River flowing through it, and the surrounded by the green of the trees,
this nature-rich onsen has been in use for nearly 600 years.

Access to Otani Sanso from Shin-Yamaguchi Station

Continue in the direction of National Highway 9 from Shin-Yamaguchi Station, and onto Prefectural Highway 28 at the Shinmachi crossing.
Make a slight left at the Yu-no-kuchi crossing, and continue on to Prefectural Highway 31.
Turn right at the crossing for Naitonal Highway 316, and after about 13 minutes, you'll arrive at Otani Sanso.
