Onsen & Spa Services

A moment of release, nestled between the mountains,
and caressed by their soft breeze

Nagato Yumoto Onsen has been flowing since 1427, in Japan's Muromachi Period (1336-1573).
Otani Sanso's large onsen bath is located at one corner of a mountain stream at the base of a sloping foothill.
The bathing areas on the 1st and 2nd floors of the ryokan are each of a slightly different style,
and together contain 11 different baths.
Designated mens and womens bathing areas are alternated according to time slots.
With the scent of the trees, the sound of flowing water, and the birdsong carried on the wind,
allow yourself to relax mind and body in these soft alkaline waters, said to beautify the skin.
