Omijima Island (National Designated Place of Scenic beauty & Natural Monument)

Omijima Island is located in the center of Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park.
With sheer cliffs, a tunnel made by natural stone pillars, and the unusually-shaped rocks that form its coastline, this place of incredible scenic beauty has earned the nickname, the "Alps of the Sea." Visitors can enjoy both the walking course along the island, as well as sightseeing cruises on the water. Visitors can also ride the Omijima Island Sightseeing Steamboat.
