Beppu Benten Pond
See the wonder of this pond's turquoise blue, and have a taste of the famous waters.
55,000 tons of water of a termperature 14 degrees are released daily from this wellspring within the grounds of Itsukushima Shrine. The spring water is rich in calcium from limestone, and is only moderately hard. Beppu Benten is one of Japan's selected 100 Famous Springs.
