At this café, visitors can enjoy a peaceful visit to Yumoto Onsen, while enjoying a view of the Otozure River as it gently flows by.
Enjoy home-roasted coffee, handmade fresh juice, and carefully crafted cheesecake in pottery pieces crafted by young potters in the nearly 400 year tradition of Hagi-yaki pottery, all within an old home, renovated by locals along the Nagato Yumoto Onsen's Otozure River.
The shop also displays the creations of young Hagi-yaki potters from Nagato's Sonose area. When people think of Hagi pottery, they typically think of rice bowls, but here you'll find displays of mugs, plates, coffee cups, chopstick rests, and other items that are easier to use in the day-to-day. Displays are held at irregular intervals, but are often changed by the young potters themselves. You may even find a piece you like that isn't available in the market.
