Yunoki Jisho Onsen
A carbonic bath perfect for onsen-lovers. Recommended for ladies who like to leave their bath with soft skin.
Located 46 minutes from Yamaguchi City, to reach this little onsen, travel along National Route 9 towards Iwatsuno, turn onto Route 314, and drive for about 6 minutes. The waters of this onsen are particularly ion-rich, with 3 times the lithium ions, approximately 5 times the carbonation, and 7 times the free carbon dioxide. The hot spring waters are diluted before use, but nonetheless, one can see from the photo that these waters are particularly mineral-rich from the mineral sediment that has built up thickly around the source of the stream. Furthermore, because the carbonic waters condition the skin, bathers can warm up even in lower-temperature waters, and will leave the bath with skin that feels soft. The spring waters can be drunk as well (one cup is free). Nearby attractions include the Funagata Dairy Farm, where visitors can try milking the cows, and take part in a sherbert-making class.
